I have stepper motor with Nominal voltage = 4V Resistance/phase = 4.2 Ohm Amps/Phase 0.95A I saw the torque graphs for the motor using 24/48V as supplyvoltage and I got lost... Is my math correct: If I use 4V I will need 0.95A power supply and If I put 24V on the motor I will need i=U/R i=24 V / 4,2 Ohm i=5,71A And so I need Stepper controller that supports 5.71 A ? Am I doing it right? |

| Amps are always the same regardless of the voltage, .95a/phase. How many amps you need for your supply depends on the drives. Some drive require the full rated current for each phase, and some need as little as 1/3 of the rated current for a single phase.
