Will belts be good for this design?

Hello all I am building my third router table 5x9. I am going to use bishop wisecarver dual vee low pro linear bearings on the x and y (got a good deal on ebay) My gantry finished will weigh 145lbs. for the drive on x and y i have bosch t-5 belts and pullies, the pullies are 24 tooth so if i use a direct drive the x and y will move 120mm or 4.74" per rev. The x will be dual drive with 500oz steppers and y will be single drive with 500oz steppers. My queston is are the 2 500oz steppers going to be able to move my x at a reasonable speed? Any idea on what the preformance of x and y might be? I know this also has to do with the power supply and stepper drives but lets assume that the steppers are working at peak preformance. Thanks for your help jeff

Buy me a Beer?

They'll probably go very fast, but you may need a low accel. Your resolution won't be very good, either. You might want to gear it down a bit to get more resolution and quicker acceleration.
