| You can't use the encoder with a Zylotex board. An eight wire stepper can be wired unipolar, Bipolar series or Bipolar parallel. Parallel is best. There are 4 coils in this motor. (2 wires per coil.) Use an ohmeter to find and mark the wire pairs that connect to a coil. Wires to a coil may be color coded: EG: red/red white stripe.
