Need Help!- Controller problems...

Hello all !
Last time i was running my controller - it was working well.
I'm using allegro driver's 5804 TYPE. used the circuit idea and design from here: http://www.doc.ic.ac.uk/~ih/doc/stepper/control2/3axis/

It controls 3 axis.
about 2 days ago I have been trying to run a new type of motor:
MAE HY 2220 0210 AX08
I have the wiring diagram and I have checked and double checked the wiring of the motor. Yet, on start up- it locks and seems ok but -
When i try to get it to make "steps" - it's get back and forth for every step.
checked the software - Kcam. - is ok.

Not only that I got this problem,
when I got back to the older motor - which has previously worked fine -
I get the exact same problem.
some facts you should know :
1.I got to mess up with the wiring of the parallel port.as the screws fastening it were lossed.
2.I got a bigger AMPRAGE power supply for the new motor to run.
same voltage. about 3 times more available amprage say from 1 to 3 amp's.
3.The Allegro driver's are coupled with a "HEALTHY" heat sink with a fan so overheating is not in mind...
4.think it could be the 5v supply to the logic part of the controllers ?!
5.Supply is 24 v with up to 3 Amp's. voltage for logic part supplied of 7805 stabalizer as appears on the circuit diagram.
6.Tried it on a diffrent computer - same problem.

Any help would be appreciated...
