Hello,
looking for a cheap and good driver, I found this interesting IC.

Reading the spec it looks like everything needed has implemented! Controls Bipolar and Unipolar Motors, PWM chopper, microstep, overcurrent sensor and so on... for about 1.5USD

Do you know any card based on this IC is available? TY

There are several drivers listed in the examples given in the spec sheet for this chip. Look here: www.lsicsi.com

was very interested in this chip as an alternatove to L297, but not yet found a supply in the UK. However, I did find this at nabble.com:

"I am controlling bipolar stepper motor using ATmega32 and motor driver circuit. I have made hardware of motor driver. I am using LS7290 and L298 driver ICs. Now the problem is i am not getting accurate micro stepping of motors. I think that there may be the problem inside circuit because the circuit has broken 5 ICs of L298 so i have lost 5 ICs!! So please help me with this issue."

Hope this wont be the same let down as the Allegro A3977
