What do you mean by "comming loose"? If you mean the set screws are vibrating loose, then loctite should fix the problem.

usually they don't give much trouble, especially if the set screw locks down onto a flat on the shafts...I _assume_ we're talking about the style that uses set screws through the coupler onto the shaft flats..
a wee little dab of silicone onto the setscrew will help a bit..
never had any problems with the 'clamping' style that have a machined slot and use screws to 'squeeze' onto the shaft...
more money though...

..enjoy..

I currently use the cheapies from princess auto...5/8 spider style complete set for 3.49.....need a reasonably rigid motor mount,

with the split style or machined multiple slot 'bellows' type the is some additional alignment support comared to the lovejoy or spider types..

..enjoy..

Another thing I was thinking of was to buy some cheap couplers and bore out the set screw and tap for a larger set screw. What about counter sinking the motor shaft a little just to recieve the set screw, would it be worth it even, just a thought? Also thanks for the responce, cheers.

didn't even think of the type of shafts you must have...
I assumed your shafts had a flat machined onto them...it's been a while since I've looked at mine, and all have a flat on them...setscrew does'nt come loose with that style...

oops...

even if you use a dremel or die grinder to put a bit of a flat where the setscrew bites, it will help quite a bit..

..enjoy..
