Good day all, Supose that the table is to wide for a singel leadscrew in the middel. Therefore I can put 2 leadscrews working parallel on the outside of the table with a motor on every screw. I have only a XYZ controller (only 3 axe controller) thus only one motor output for the table. Question: Can I put 2 identical stepper motors in parallel connected to one chopper controller output and dubble the current? (of course within the limmits of the controller) So coils 1 of motor A is parallel with coil 1 of motor B, coil 2 of motor A will be parallel with coil 2 B etc. Willy |

| Only at speeds below 3 revolutions per second. The motors interact above that speed and do not play together well. You must then use 2 drives with the STEP and DIRECTION lines daisy chained to each drive. You also have to ask yourself "How ugly will things get if one motor stalls and the other keeps on trucking?" Sure as there are little green apples, this will eventually happen. You know, Mr. Murphy and all. Mariss |
