Hey all its me again anyways I have built my first CNC machine and am currently working on the electronics I will be running 4 unipolar steppers all under 4 amps currently i am using Alexander's Simple PIC 3 axis board as a test board for 3 steppers being x y z rotation will come later I'm having some problems with the board not stepping from Mach 3 so far im using a PIC12F509 with the code of the PIC12F508 I can step it using a program called turing to simulate the step and dir but Can't seem to get them both working in Mach 3 currently as a test for one stepper im using pins 8 and 4 on the parallel port and pin 18 for ground
here is what is currently setup only using leds for now don't want to mess up steppers
Problems in short fourm
- not stepping from Mach 3
- pins used in Mach 3 are not right on parallel cable wired correctly
- Dir is ok in Mach 3 but nothing is happening with the step on a machine that gives me a wave length just a whole bunch of fuzz even if nothing is typed in Mach 3
Needing help please, need to get this one working anyone with experience with this driver board will be very helpful if you could help me trouble shoot thanks
It says pin's 2 and 3 but they are 8 and 4 I changed them srry

hahaha never mind just some stupid wiring problems hooking it into parallel thinking it was on pin 8 when it was on pin 7 I hate different colored wire why can't they all just say pin 1 to pin 25 and make it easy![]()
