4A stepper motor drive

I have designed a drive using irf540 and irf9540 - h bridge bd139- bd140 mosfet drivers
35V DC SUPPLYfor bridge and 12 v for driver FOR A 4A sanyo bipolar stepper
I am not getting enough current (not even 2 A)
when i connect motor ... its running with vibrations
please suggest a better design to get 4A and reduce vibrations
