New setup with no stepper movement

I know someone will spot what I am missing. I am building a high percision router completed to the electronic stage. The table is 2' x 2' , will post step by step pics after I have it all done. I am having a problem with getting the motors to move. I am running mach 3 to a bobcnc break out board which controls 4 gecko 203v motor drives. the steppers are kelinger 495 oz and the power supply is 24 volt to start with. I will upgrade power for smoother operation after I have it working. It seems that everything checks out like the limit switches on the diagnostics page, I can jog the DRO but I can't get any response from the motors. I have have played with the pin setup in Mach 3 with all different configurations with no change. Does anyone see anything that I could be missing?

with a voltmeter, check to see if you have 24 volts whereyou need.
also check to see if your breakout has 5v going to it.hope this helps.

Buy me a Beer?

Do you have +5V to the common on the drives from the breakout board? You may have the common set to ground on the breakout board.

What model Breakout board do you have?

The G203v needs controller ground to the common terminal. If your BOB has a jumper to control whether the common on the board is +5v or ground. Set the jumper to ground.

*****************
From the G203v manual:
The COMMON return for the signals is controller ground referenced instead of +5VDC. This greatly eases the drive to controller interface.

(TERM. 10) COMMON Connect this terminal to the controller ground output.

Verify COMMON goes to your controller GND
***************

cheers,
Jack

Oops, had that backwards. Way too tired today. Thanks for the correction.
