| I have Parker drives also that I run with Mach3 they run perfect, just connect the step and direction signal and wala. I use a breakout board so it supplies nice buffered signal to the drive.

| I have runn oem650's and S6 drives directly from the printer port. (emc2 but it will work with mach just fine) Very nice drives. Now if you have 750x or 650x drives - you can convert them by removing the indexer daughter board and using jumpers. 5 jumpers in the fore ground http://www.electronicsam.com/images/OEM650.JPG |

| On the oem750 I commoned 14 and 15 to printer port ground. Then pin 1 on the oem goes to step pin #2 on the printer port and pin 2 on the oem goes to dir pin #3 of the printer port (this would be the x axis). Repeat for each axis. sam |

| The parker drives OEM 750 with mach 3 works very well! The 406 parker linear motion table hold all the mass of X and Z axis (about 70lb) has 20mm lead and high feed rates is not a problem. The X has lead 5mm and high feed rates is a problem. If I change the frequency to 35000 or more my motors does not sound very well and I have noticeable vibration. With 5mm lead the parker says that the maximum speed of screw can be 50 rps. but I can't catch that speed. Any way may be I have to change the 404 parker linear motion table with one that has 15mm or 20mm leed. George! |
