Hi,

I need an IMS IM1007-NR stepper-motor driver for one of my laser engraver/cutters.

This was made obsolete over a year ago.
I would contact the IMS distributors and see if any have it in stock, but i suspect that you will not have any luck because this is not a standard IM1007.

Thanks Zapp,

Do you know the difference between the IM1007, 1007ie and 1007nr?

Yes, the IM1007 is a drive only (Clock and direction)
IM1007I has an indexor built in, the IE also has encoder feedback.
THe NR has a noise reduction filter.
It is likely that the manufacture of the machine would have tried the standard IM1007, and needed to use the NR due to noise.
This is a 10A driver so you are going to need to check you motor, to see if you can get away with a smaller driver.
The next one down is the IM805, this is a 7A driver, and is comparable to the Gecko drive, but i know of a few OEM customers who tried to save some money and use the Gecko instead of the IM805, and quickly changed back.
Saying that the IM805 is about $400.
I think it is very unlikely that you will get the IM1007 driver anywhare, let alone the NR version.
I would save time and look for an alternative.
