Need help determining coil connection wires

I have hit a bit of a road block trying to figure out my coil wires. Am I right??

I have a six wire Kelling Motor (KL23H276-30-6A) 3 Amp/Phase 2.0N.m. I am using uni-polar drivers.

I think my wire config should be this:

Center Tap Coil #A = White
Wire #1 = Red
Wire #2 = Blue

Center Tap Coil #B = Yellow
Wire #4 = Black
Wire #5 = Green

Using my ohm meter I determined the following:

Wire colors = Red, white, green, yellow, blue, black.

Red on Common

Blue - 2.5 ohm
White - 1.7 ohm

White on Common

Red - 1.7 ohm
Blue - 1.7 ohm

Green on common

Black - 2.5 ohm
Yellow - 1.7 ohm

Blue on Common

Red - 2.5 ohm
white - 1.7 ohm

Yellow on Common

Black - 1.7 ohm
green - 1.7 ohm

Black on Common

Yellow - 1.7 ohm
Green - 2.5 ohm

So if I were to run these as Bi-polar, how would they be wired?

Buy me a Beer?

If you ever need to work out wiring again, this web page makes it pretty darn easy:
http://www.piclist.com/techref/io/stepper/wires.asp

as to making that into a bipolar configuration, see:
http://www.piclist.com/techref/io/stepper/wires.htm and notice that the only difference between the "6 wire unipolar" and "4 wire bipolar" is that the center taps are ignored for the bipolar setup.

I take it you were asking about the bipolar only out of curiosity as you already have a unipolar driver?

Scratching my darn head again!

I ASSumed that my 425oz Keling motor was six wires, but it is an eight wire stepper.

I have read and read, and am unable to connect my motor to the driver.

Wires are as follows:

Red
Green
Black
Blue
Red/white
Green/white
Black/white
Blue/white

Red to Red/white - 3.7 ohms
Green to Green/white - 3.7 ohms
Black to Black/white - 3.7 ohms
Blue to Blue/white - 3.7 ohms

I have the same uni-polar driver as in my first post and I need to know these connections.

Center Tap Coil #A =
Wire #1 =
Wire #2 =

Center Tap Coil #B =
Wire #4 =
Wire #5 =

I this info from the mft:

A Blu/Wht
Blu-Red/Wht
B- Red
C GRN/Wht
GRN-BLK/WHT
D- Blk

Dude, go to this page:
http://www.piclist.com/techref/io/stepper/wires.asp and follow the directions exactly. If you don't have an Ohm meter, they cost about $12 at Radio Shack. It doesn't get any easier than that, if the wireing diagram isn't available from the mfgr.

I have not had much luck with that page either on an 8 wire motor.

are you sure you don't have this motor instead? http://www.kelinginc.net/KL23H276-30-8A.pdf

What is your data? If you let me have it here, or by email, I'll try to figure out what is going on and correct the script if it has a bug.

jschmitt, if you have any data on an 8 wire motor that isn't working on that page, I'd love to see that as well.
