| Turns out there IS a bug in that page: It doesn't work for 8 wire motors. I'll work on it. I tested it again for 5 and 6 wire units and that is fine, as far as I can tell. It's just the 8 wire ones that it doesn't work for. |

| B- and D are ends of second pair of parallel coils These coil ends are of same polarity. What kind of drive do you have? |

| Motor info: A- -- Blue/White Blue - Red/White B -- Red C -- Grn/white Grn - Black/White D -- Black For my board I have to have the two centre wires of the coil joined in order for it to work. Does this look right? V+ -- D (Black) M2B -- ++ (Grn - Black/White) M1B -- C (Grn/White) V+ - Power for board GND - Ground for board M2A -- B (Red) M1A -- ++ (Blue - Red/White) V+ -- A (Blue/White) KITV - Logic Input Last edited by mulligan; 03-02-2008 at 10:48 AM. |

It should be like this: V+ -- Grn + Black/White M2B -- Black M1B -- Grn/White M2A -- Red M1A -- Blue/White V+ -- Blue + Red/White Note also that this driver has no current limiting (according to schematic). If use a high voltage you probably blow up something at low speeds, if you use a low voltage you have low speed. Tip: you could use a 24V car bulb as a current limiter... |

I have resistors to limit the power for the motor, so I should be alright there. Thanks for the help kuikkap!! Last edited by mulligan; 03-02-2008 at 11:45 AM. |
