Folks , I need some information about half and full steps . Forgive me if it's been answered before , couldn't find it . Lets say a hypothetical two phase biploair stepper . 1 Amp / phase . 100Oz torque . Used in halfstep mode . The 100Oz torque will most liekely be produced only during the two phase on steps . During the one phase on , the torque will be less because the resulting magnetic field will be less . Question one : howmuch less torque . Then suppose I'de like to limit the current during the two phase on steps to obtain thesame torque as the one phsae on steps . By howmuch dow I reduce the current to obtain thesame torque as the one step on at 1Amp . Thx Patrick |
