| Hi Aaron, yes the motors do make a high pitch locking sound on stall, so I will read up about using dampers. Thanks for that. I am going to ditch this Stepmaster rubbish, do you know he originally sold it to me with a 19V 4.74 Amp Laptop Adapter in the `Package Deal` and never answered any queries I had about using it. Then I thought the 24V 14.6 Amp supply I bought would be enough for the FL57 motors. Oh well live and learn....... I have decided to improve things all round and will be ordering the following . 75v/5A PS705 PSU MSD980 Microstepping Drivers http://www.motioncontrolproducts.co....0datasheet.pdf and also going from 1.8Nm motors to 3Nm using the FL60STH86STH motor. http://www.motioncontrolproducts.co....&products_id=6 if this dont work........ thats it  I`ll take up trainspotting or croquet or something.  |
