    Simple, cheap servo controll.

Im looking to control a 3 axis machine with EMC,
Trouble is I cant find a 3 axis unipolar motor controller that I can understand or that fits my budget.

Pics and micro controllers are out of the question and for the other projects Ive seen the ICs that drive the steppers are discontinued. I would rather not spend a few hundred on a kit thats overkill for my simple hobby project.

Does anyone know of a simple cheap controller for unipolar stepper motors?

I know you said no pics, but the Linistepper is pretty hard to beat for small unipolar projects :

    http://www.piclist.org/techref/io/st...step/index.htm

You can get the complete 3 axis kits for about $75.00 U.S. (for the parts, you will need to assemble)

Also it is open source so the schematic's and source code are freely available.

    Half step sequences?

    Hi,

Concerning the logic part of this circuit (previous post) wich is doing full step sequences for unipolar steppers, would it be possible to upgrade it, by adding if needed, one or more very low cost IC's, to have a circuit that is doing half step sequences.
