Does anyone know all the components in a stepper motor and why they are non-rebuildable? I just read an article about copper rotors boosting efficiency of electric motors to 95% compared to 90% of aluminum rotors. I was thinking about buying a couple of sealed steppers to test before and after. This might be a way to make servos and stepper motors even more efficient. |

| The only rotor i can think of that is aluminum is an induction motor. If you are talking about the windings, then i know that some manufactures have been working with aluminum because of the rising costs of copper.
