Have few mega8515 and making a test board to implement step pulses and dir signals for future step controller development . Will appreciate for opinion regarding step sequences , acceleration deceleration max min frequencies ... It could be possible to have precise timing on these chips (up to some extend) so may be this approach is better than using turbocnc or emc alike software to generate pulses. What do you think ?
Up to now made simple timer based oscillator with possibility to change step freq from buttons (up down) and set frequencies via uart connected to PC. Can implement more as there is plenty space left in flash and eeprom is untouched.
