Hi, I am in the process of designing a laser cutter/engraver and am trying to get some information to get me going in the right direction. The laser engraver is basically a printer or plotter. It is driven entirely by pulleys and belts. I am looking for high positioning speeds and rapids atleast 300to 500 ipm. How much torque (take guess) will I need. There are no cutting forces, and the machine is build very light relatively to a router. Anyone have any suggestions? |
