OSuni-3 board doubts

first of all thanks to PMINMO for providing the stuff.u helped me a lot in understanding many stepper driver issues.
thanks.

iam trying to make 3-axis CNC machine.for which i choose OSuni-3 as it seems the parts r easily available.i have some doubts to clarify.

1.in the pic attached below is the limit switch connections are right.and what is the purpose of D2 and D5
http://img251.imageshack.us/img251/1199/wefu0.gif

2.and i have 5 wire stepper motors(that makes them UNIpolar).so while connecting them i have to connect the common one to ground and remaining 4 wires to respective terminals. is it right?

3.is this is the layout whose print shld be taken at 600DPI. http://pminmo.com/3axis/OS3copper.png

i'll be waiting for ur reply.
thanks once again.

http://pminmo.com/3axis/OS3copper.pdf is a pdf document for the copper, selsct 100% for print size in the windows printer dialog.

The common wire on a 5 wire motor is for the positive of your motor supply. You will need to current limit with a resistor(s) since this isn't a current limiting board.

Your limit switch setup will work as long as you set the software appropriately.

D2 and D5 are just wiring points to expand from the lpt port.

I almost missed your post, as I don't scan the zone completely. My bulletin board http://www.pminmo.com/phpBB/ I review daily (as long as I have power, ice storm last week put me out for a couple of days....). It also allows others to review questions and answers since the topics are focused per boad.

thanks pminmo.
actually i posted my query on your board only but there the posts seems to be old so i had to post it here.

i confused at the limit switches.imean as we have 10 terminals for limit switches i thought connections will come in between them.but now i'll connect them between the terminal and ground.

and the layout design is little complicated for toner transfer.as the traces are so close they over lapping at some places while developing.
so u have any idea to solve this problem.

below is my idea of connecting the limit switches and spindle motor to parallel port.pls have a look at the attachment.

i have one more problem with this board.(i already posted it in Pminmo's forum but still posting it here again as we have a lot of users here)
my problem is the board iam building (Osuni-3.above link) uses 12 mosfets-IRLZ44N .but iam unable to find them (also the replacements
IRLZ24N
IRLZ44N
FQP13N10L
FQP13N06L
MTP15N06VL)
only IRFZXX's are available.so can use them or any one had any experience with different chips which worked.i am badly stuck at this point.
