    Stepper motor driver via PC

    Dear all members,
    iam new in this forum, iam planning to built CNC router.
    I bought Mycom Stepper motor complete with driver ims2000.
    my question is..
    - can i control this driver using PC parrallel port?
    - How to connect Parralel port to this driver" if can"
    - which software is support to control this driver?

    Hi cibot,

    Have had a look at the PDF you supplied.

    Yes you can wire these drivers to the parallel port.

    Any break out board will be ok as the input signals are optical isolated.

    Software: Mach3, TurboCNC or any other which sends pulses to the parallel port.

    thanks john for your imformation,I glad to hear that my driver can be control via PC LPT. As what iam understand from pminmo, i should build BOB for interface my 3 axis stepper driver.btw, yes i found from you site how to build 3 to 4 axis BOB. thanks again for all of you, i will start to build BOB first and any progress, i will let you know .
