Pacific Scientific Motor Model: P21NRXS-LNS-NS-03 I have a PacSci Model: P21NRXS-LNS-03 Motor, Unipolar 8 wire ribbon cable connected to header not color coded. I would like to wire this as bipolar(series). I did match up the windings and located a datasheet for it. The datasheet shows wire colors along with numbers 1 through 8. The header is a single row of 8 pins. I would like to wire the up in series. If I knew how the header pin is numbered and how to determine the grds on the windings I think I can wire it up as shown in the datasheets. Some one suggested I could find the grds by grounding to the housing of the motor. I tried with no luck. Maybe the motor is faulty? I”d appreciate any help. Thanks bill |

| You need the powermax II installation guide; http://www.pacsci.com/support/docume...llbulletin.pdf The pins on the motor should be numbered on the back of the socket, looking at the connector from the back of the motor. If they're not, the pins are 1-8 left to right. The installation guide shows how to wire each permutation by the numbers. My powermax motors do not 'ground' the coils to the motor chassis. |
