Hi all, I am making a project of autoguiding a telescope, and stuck at what to use-- a stepper motor with lots of gear reduction, or a DC motor with encoder and gearing. The glaring problem lies in the fact that i need to downconvert my motor speed to 15 ArcSeconds per Second, something which would need a costly encoder or lots of gearing. Anyone who can guide me in this aspect..I'd be a lot thankful. Sysadam |
