Residual magnetism in stepper motors | |
I was about to throw out a stepper (1 of 12 I had kicking about) for being "weak" ie when I turned it I thought it felt less "positive" than the others I had...However I was thinking along the lines of residual magnetism in generators so I coupled it up with a nice short and spun it by hand and it seems to have picked up :shrug: Is this normal ie if they arent used for a long while do they lose their steppiness (new word/term?) Anyone have thoughts/experience of this? tia
