Help me with my project
well! i want to make a robot. I want to use differential pair of wheels for its driving. And the two motors that i want to use for this purpose are stepper motors.
I have bought RH7-1048 Stepper Motor with a voltage requirement of 5.2VDC and 1.8degree per step and with a holding torque of 7.3Kg per cm.
I have got two questions for u guys:
1) What is meant by the term "Holding Torque" of a stepper motor. Will these two motors will be able to drive a body having a weight of around 10-13 Kg.
2) Do u think that these motors are suitable to be used as main driving wheels motors.

Hold torq is the value it takes to pull the rotor out of it's stopped position.
The performance depend on the driver and power supply voltage. You need to drive your motor with at least 30v to get good performance. Do a search for "chopper drive" to see how it's done.
NOpe.....the backdrive is greater then the holding torque....
