The Linistepper offers high torque half stepping. Both phases on at all times with a 100%/40% current. -40_100, +40_100, 100_-40, 100_+40. Because of the two phase on, the torque is more than regular half stepping. I'm wondering if this way of half stepping has found a way around resonence of regular half step driving.

I bit the bullet and bought the 3 axes Linistepper kit. I decided to get my feet wet with a micro 8" x 8" table, and put some 60 oz.in. steppers to work. This could then do the driling of PCBs for any high power driver design I end up settling with.

I keep looking at the Pico BOB. It seems pricy at $250, but it does so much. Having real time communication with encoders seems like the answer to lost steps. The stepper BOB looks exactly like the Servo BOB. I'll have to ask if they are the same but with different firmware in the processor.
