Has anyone here used the components in the Surestep Stepper Line which is sold by Automationdirect.
They offer complete matched components and I was wondering how the stuff would integrate with other mfg. controller boards. I'm new to CNC.

Not sure why "matched components" are so important. Typically you want to first figure out how much power you need to move the load you are moving at the speed you want to move it (see techref.massmind.org/techref/io/steppers.htm#Estimating for help with that) and then get drivers and motors that are able to manage that load.
I generally recommend getting larger than needed motors so you can upgrade the driver if you need more power and not have to pay for shipping the heavy new motors. Drivers are easier to upgrade.
As long as you get motors with 6 or more wires, (don't buy 4 wire motors as that limits your options) there really isn't anything else to match up.
