Hello, this is my first post here. I have searched the FAQ's, but cannot find the answer to my question. I am planning to build a unit that may be as large as 24" X 36" (not sure yet if it will be MDF or 8020, could be moving bed or gantry), but I am trying to find out what size stepper motors I would need. I plan on eventually cutting some aluminum parts, and if it is a little slow, that is OK. I am more concerned with accuracy than speed. Also, I would rather overbuild than be borderline if my needs/desires change in the future. There may be too many unknowns at this point, I am just trying to get a feel for what I need so I can get busy purchasing the high dollar things I cannot make. I have been looking at some 878 oz/in motors, but I just don't know if I am cutting it close, or way overdoing it. If anyone can help, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks

THanks for your reply. I guess I better get my brain unscrambled and start deciding on exactly what I want to build.
It take's a bit I did a lot of reading and asking questions I was going to build one out of Lumber but I ended up buying a kit and I am happy..
