why are these steppers so cheap?

So i was surfing ebay to look for a cnc kit to star build my first cnc machine. As i was looking at prices to compare a kit from ebay with sepereratly buy motor, driver etc i found this site. And they sell 290oz-in motor for 25$. To me that sounds cheap.. but i could be wrong cos im still in the process of learning what i should get for my first cnc.
Have a look. And tell me what/if i missed something here.

    Kysan Electronics Product List

And i was looking to buy this kit from ebay :
3 Axis CNC stepper motor driver kit breakout board | eBay

but looking at the price of the same motor from Kysan Electronics and seperetly buying driver and power supply i could get away with half price compared to the the ebay kit.... i think . Sounds to good to be true tho.
And if someone has a link to a better kit for me then what i have got here then pls send it to me. . My goal is to have a machine that helps my girlfriend with her shoedesigne. Making the wooden heals and wooden sole and soem details in aluminum.
Thank you for your time and help

Ps. sorry for my bad english.

I am unable to open the Kysan Electronics Product List link.

As for the eBay listing with the motors, controller and power supply, there is a lot of discussion about the controller here:

Kysan has a minimum purchase of $100 and is, of course, China direct... I tend to think that anything which is too good to be true probably is, but I can't say anything against the motors without having actually tested them.

doorknob already said what I was going to say about the driver... I might have been a little more direct... ,o)

Some vendors make up for the low price with a high shipping charge.

The shipping looks OK, but if the company is China direct, how do they ship by UPS ground?
