Can you tell us what motors are in the machine? At least
- how many wires to each motor
- what size (diameter) or NEMA number
- part number, amps, and/or volts would be great, but if you can't find that, use one of the methods at:
techref.massmind.org/techref/io/stepper/wires.htm to find the wiring of the motors and then measure the resistance on one of the coils.
With that information, we can recommend a suitable driver card and break out board. Whatever you do, please don't just rush off and buy some cheap chinese crap that promises to drive anything anytime anywhere for next to nothing = too good to be true? I'm just seeing so much of that these days...
