Stepper Specs (Was Servo Specs)

Hi guys,

I just ripped apart an old copier machien not a photocopier but the one with the drum and the ink photostat or whatever it is called?

I found 2 servos inside plugged into a circuit board but couldn't see any others anyone know if these type of machines normally have more?

One of the steppers is labelled as a StepSyn 103H7124-1142 which according to the website is 140oz the other one is labelled AstroSyn with 23KM-C112-03 1.8v 2.3A 1.8Deg, the 1.8v worries me slightly as I wouldn't think thats anygood? I am guessing that the astrosyn one is an equivalent of the stepsyn and so I have 2 140oz stepper?

Would these be good enough for a small pcb engraver rather than a full blown milling machine even a pcb drill would be cool to make.

The 1.8V is fine. Steppers can be run at up to 20x their rated voltage. Lower voltage rated motors are actually preferable. You'll get better top speed from them with lower voltages.
