Hello everybody!!! I am a newbie here. I need your help regarding the specification of my stepper motor. I purchased a stepper motor just recently, I tried to find the specification in the internet but I could not find aything about this motor. Please find below the details written on the motor:

    Shinano Kenshi Co., LTD. China
    EM-335
    04900G

This is intended for Epson LQ-680 with 4 wires on it.

    Thanks.

It sounds very small! I think it is a 39mm body (ie size NEMA 14). Can you post a photo?

I think it might be too small for any typical CNC use.

Thank you for your reply. This is the photo of the motor. I will be making a cnc which is a desktop type....the base will same size with the A4 size paper. This is intended for the PCB making.

Yes, it depends on not only on panel weight also on how the weight is distributed.

That motor is a bit too small. You might get a working result if you use a fine threaded rod for your leadscrews, like a 6mm thread with 1mm pitch (1mm lead).

Just remember the machine will be slow and will not have much power. But it might still be ok for PCB engraving.

Personally I would look for 3 larger motors, even if they cost a bit more it will be worthwhile long-term as your machine will be faster and better.
