Building a hammer is this resolution good enough?

    All,
I was contemplating building a Shop hammer from wafer board.
and wanted to use a new stepper setup.
    Can be seen here.
I just did not know if the resolution was going to be good enough Any thoughts?

That's a very cool motor design, & a different way to build a motor, I don't know if it would do your job, I think you would have to build one & see what you can get out of it
