Hey everyone! new member to cnczone here. I am currently working on a cnc milling machine, it is a very old Terco trainer mill and the goal it to get rid of the old control system and hook the stepper motors to a modern PC. One of the problems is that there is no information on the stepper motors. I have contacted Terco but they have no information what so ever on these and I would like to know if it is possible to know what voltage the stepper are meant to run at with no previous information on these. daz450 |

| Is there a current rating? What is the ohmage of the coils? I=E/R so E=IR... IOW Voltage = current (in amps) times resistance (in ohms). And what driver are you using? If it regulates current, then you want to supply more voltage than the motor is rated for anyway. |
