120V Stepper - how can it be driven?

I've seen this stepper going on Ebay that's rated at 420 oz. and cheap (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...ory=78196&rd=1)

As it runs at 120V, I'm excluding being able to use Geckos.

Is it an option using an alternative driver or should I let it go? If it is an alternative, what drivers are possible? If the alternative driver is more expensive than Gecko, then the problem will have resolved itself.

That seems to be synchronous motor, not stepper. It is probably meant to run only at 72 rpm with constant 120V voltage. Very difficult to drive as stepper because of high voltage.
