Since it uses the parallel port I assume it uses a step and direction pin like most others.
If this is the case just download the trial version of Mach3 or EMC2 and play with the pin settings until it moves.

I have a StepGenie Demo board that I am finally getting around to using, but I seem to have lost the CD that came with it. I was able to get a schematic from the StepGenie website and the motor diagram from the company, but I was not able to get the software from them. I guess I would have to buy another demo board. I was just wondering if anyone has any software or source code that would work with the StepGenie Demo board. I would actually like to write my own software in either C# or C++, possibly Java, but I have no experience controlling a stepper motor. Any help would be appreciated.
