    New controller from Texas Instruments

    TI DRV8412

That new chip seems to alleviate a lot of the design problems of older driver chips, where workarounds had to be implemented.

Preliminary gloss over looks good, but the usual heatsinking story is left to the user...
When dealing with power, small packages are problematic without special considerations. This chip seems to fit into this category.

Sometimes it's better to stick with the big and ugly for reliability.
