I stripped a HP laserjet 1010 printer and got this stepper motor out of it. Its a MITSUMI M49SP-2K LF 7.5 degree step I would like to know what type of motor is this and how do I build a controller for it. This is my first build. I want to build a small plotter http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/e...9112010464.jpg http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/e...9112010463.jpg http://i234.photobucket.com/albums/e...9112010462.jpg This is the info i got about the motor SPECIFICATIONS Stepping Motors Items M49SP-2K Rated Voltage DC 24V Working Voltage DC 21.6~26.4V Rated Current/Phase 1A(PEAK) No. of Phase 2 Phase Coil DC Resistance 4.6Ω Step Angle 7.5°/step Excitation Method 2-2 Phase excitation (Bipolar chopping driving) Insulation Class Class E insulation Holding Torque 134mN·m Pull-out Torque 100mN·m/1100pps Pull-in Torque 102mN·m/250pps Max. Pull-out Pulse Rate 2150pps Max. Pull-in Pulse Rate 430pps Thanks |

| Seems like it would be good enough for a small plotter... To figure out which wire is which, you might read this web page: Stepper Motor wiring And if you run 24 volts, 1 amp, that is 24 watts so it should pull a pen around at quite a few inches per second given a good quality lead screw and low friction bearings. The Linistepper driver would run it nicely, and give you good resolution. |
