I'm looking to connect a stepper motor to an existing controller. The present motor is: unipolar 2 phase 24 volt, .21 amp 100 ohm windings I've been told the controller doesn't use current limiting. I'm having trouble finding a motor of those specifications. I'm wondering if it's possible to use a motor with lower resistance and voltage rating in series with resistors? The torque and speed requirements are very low. |

| Just make sure you dont get one that draws too many amps that would blow your controller. Find out what the max current is for the components on your driver board. Get a motor that uses less amps than that. If the motor only specifies voltage and resistance, use V=IR to find how many amps it draws, where V= voltage, I=current, R=resistance. |
