Anyone know a good source for small steppers? Nema 8, Nema 11, or perhaps Nema 14 should be fine. I found some at Anaheim automation, but want to make sure I've covered/compared a few sources rather than going with the first I've found. Cheers, -Neil. |

| Let's say Nema 11 or 14 (though not sure why you did not mention 14). I need dual-shaft with a max shaft length of about 2.5" (because I'll be drilling all the way through the shaft). About 10 oz-in (give or take) should be fine. With these specs, it will probably have to be single-stack... ??? Cheers, -Neil. |

| Somehow I missed this response. I've finally CAD'ed the parts I'm making and it'll have to be NEMA 11 (single solid shaft, torque > 9 oz-in) and NEMA 8 (dual hollow shaft, torque not critical). If the hollow shaft with the NEMA 8 is not available, I can (try to) drill it myself. I'll need about 2 of each. Cheers, -Neil. |

I got your message, it is very difficult to get hollow shaft on size 8 as the motor shaft is 4 mm. If you try drilling yourself without proper procedure you can damage the motor. I will check with plant we can get hollow shaft. I would like to know the id of the hole you desire. As far as other motor we can help with Nema 11 single shaft which is in stock.
