Hi guys, i found some more then 5 stepper motors and all of them were from those old dot matrix printers. The problem is that nothing is written on them like the voltage and the current, now i know the resistance can be found without any problem with a DMM, but no idea on what to use. Now i made a small driver circuit with 5804 and used another stepper motor i had found in a disk drive, now it worked GREAT with my psu with 12V and also without putting any resistor between the motor and power supply and the IC didnt even get hot at all. But when i tried with the other it got hot pretty quick with 12V so i then used the 5V terminal but it still got hot. Please help  |
