my stepper run so hot after 2 hours that I can not touch it. Is this normal?
I don't have a thermometer to measure how hot it is but guessing it is under 100C and well above 70C

Steppers DO run hot. It could well be in tolerance but be too hot to touch. Touch it with a wet finger. If it sizzles, then it's definitely too hot.

Fan cool it, It will run cooler. I was surprised to read some Compumotor literature where the motor current rating was noted "when attached to a 12" X 12" X 1" aluminum plate. Cool!
