    Default DQ542MA output

    Hello All,

    I have a DQ542MA driving a VEXTA PH268-E2.3B.
Currently the motor is wired in series (I have also wired it parrallel with the same results.
    DC = 48V
    Yang connected to external 5V.

Regardless of PUL and DIR condition, I have a 40us square wave coming out of each of the 4 outputs equal to the DC.
I see this on two different units.

The ENABLE will cause this to go to 0V when activated.

The motor will step once when the PUL value changes.

Does this sound like normal operation?
I thought the output levels were supposed to be DC?

    Any help/insight is appreciated.

Sorry for my ignorance... but what is "Yang"?

Anyway, it sounds like you have an issue but I am not sure I understand you post. Can you clarify where exactly you measure 40us pulses and how? Also, how is it connected? Can you make a drawing? The motor is supposed to take a step for each pulse signal on PUL, so that seems normal. What "output levels" are you talking about? The only outputs the DQ542MA has is the motor outputs, and that is AC, not DC, and it is NOT measured with reference to the GND.

As I said, I don't understand your post.

A_Camera, thank you for your response.

"Yang" connection comes from the DQ542MA manual and refers to the Common VCC configuration with the "PUL-", "DIR-" and "ENABLE-" being the signal lines from the PC controller.

The OUTPUT Levels I am referring to are the 4 motor outputs as measured with an O-Scope referenced to ground in DC mode. Your post helps with my confusion, thanks.

It seems that the DQ542MA is wired correctly from what I can tell now.

My problem seems to be in the PC control (I am using a KFLOP).

    Thank you for your help!
