    Default Db25-1205

Just a quick newbie question. If I want a 3 axis with 2 steppers on x. For a total of 4 steppers, can i hook all of them up to a db25-1205 breakout board?

provided your control software lets you slave one axis output with another
the only restriction if your connecting the breakout board to a PC's parallel printer port

will be assigning the 4 out pins from the same data latch ,
preferably pins 2 to 9 - that would of sent the data to the printer

    say 2 & 3 for the master X axis and 4 & 5 for the slave X axis , 6 & 7 for the Y axis and 8 & 9 for the Z axis

    don't use 2 pins from the data latch (pins 2 to 9) and 2 pins from the control latch (pins 1 , 14 , 16 & 17)
