Default 4 wire stepper motor pin out

    Good evening guys.
I have a small nema motor with 4 wires,
    Red, black, green and blue.

I want to write this motor to a switch to manually move it in clock wise and counter.

This is not for a cnc machine but rather for different application.

Do I still need to buy a motor drive, or can I connect two wires to a power source?

Does the red and back correspond to a winding? And so so the green and blue? Or is there a different combination? My multimeter is broken..

    Thanks

Yes, you'll still need a motor driver.
If you don't have a multimeter, you could try connecting a pair of wires together and turn the motor shaft. If you short together a winding pair, the motor will be harder to turn..
