If the system is capable of electronic gearing then it should be possible, I do it all the time with the Galil Motion cards.
(You can even change the gearing on the fly, if needed!).

Hi
I currently have my X axis using 2 motors and the 2nd motor is connected to A axis on my board and is slaved to X axis.
Is it possible to connect the 2nd drive to the X axis output and use both motors from the same signal?

Hmmm
Why do I need electronic gearing??
Electronic gearing usually refers to using one encoder as a slave off the other at what ever ratio you want, in your case it sounds like 1:1.

In my 3 axis akz250 bob I use 2 drives and 2 motors with the same signal.

That's what I did but as I said my bob is 3 axis so I don't have an A axis. Using the Y signal axis to drive 2 drives was the only way.
What BOB do you have?

Hi Jimskeet,
I think this may help you! Its a Multi-axis stepper driver from leadshine (Leadshine Technology Co., Ltd.) .
Thanks.
