I need to get a breakout board and I don't know which to get. I previously wired direct from the parallel port to the stepper drives and used linuxCNC, I now want to use Mach3 and want spindle control using a VFD., I would like other outputs as well for accessories. All suggestions will be appreciated.

I don't have a recommended breakout board for you, but I can unconditionally say that the C35 board is garbage, so stay well clear of that one. I got it working after countless hours researching wrong documentation and mis-information. The C6 board should work for spindle control - I'm not using a VFD but am using the 0-10volt control for speed which is the same as the VFD uses and it's nice.
