Here is a small movie about the problem!
Hello!
I've got a new 2m542 driver and a HY-JKM5 breakoutboard.
I'm running mach 3 and I'm having trouble with controlling the breakoutboard.
example:
setup according to Chinese manual of HY-JKm5:
X step = pin 2 dir = 14
I've put this information in Mach 3
Hook up the 2m542 to the x axis on the HY-JKm5, test the arrows on keyboard and nothing works. But the LED on the B axis of the HY-JKm5 is lighting up when the x axis should light up.
As a test I've connected the 2m542 to the B axis and now I've got a working stepper, but only 1 direction! That is weird.
Next test:
according to HY-JKm5 manual:
Y step= 3 dir=16
put that in Mach 3
when I press the arrows Z and A axis light up at the same time, not the Y axis.
Could that indicate that my breakoutboard is DOA? Or am I missing something here?

Solved!
There was a fault in the manual, the pin number were faulty, next to that in Mach3 MAXNC mode was selected from installation.
When I was watching mach3 installation guides on youtube I noticed the difference and that solved the problem.
