can i buy steam engine models which i can build myself?

    hello,
(short version of a long story)
last week I bought the first part of the series from the HMS Victory. I always made models from plastic but i loved the details and the real-life materials of the HMS. So, I made the big step too the REAL modelling.
I did some research and found that the whole serie of the HMS would cost me 850 euros (too much ). I searched for sites where i could buy cheaper boat models and found also steam engine models. sadly they were already build...
my question: can i buy steam engine models which i can build myself?

    thanks, Pico

PS: My building skills are better than my english typing
(I'm from belgium so you may answers in dutch)

    Groeten, Pico

I have one similar to this
Fantail Launch II | Wood Model Boat Kits | Store & Catalog | Midwest Products

When i bought mine, it came with the canopy, and you had to built the steam engine. (assemble really) It's a good starter steam boat, not very advanced. It's a rocker type, fwd only, no steam control, and no whistle.

A couple on EBAY right now, one in GB, others available for int. shipping. Just remember, the steam engine/boiler is separate.
